Georgia football vs Texas History

Texas is only in their second season in the SEC, so the history between these two programs isn't that large. But that history is dominated by what unfolded last season when these teams played each other twice.

Georgia won the first of two meetings in Texas last season as they dominated the No. 1 Longhorns from the opening kickoff en route to a 30-15 victory. About a month and a half later Georgia and Texas met again in the SEC Championship game which UGA won 22-19 in overtime behind backup quarterback Gunner Stockton.

Even though Georgia is riding high with their two game win streak over the Longhorns, Texas still leads the all time series 4-3. Georgia will look to bring that record to .500 this weekend in front of a packed Sanford Stadium in the biggest game of the weekend.
