Georgia football may have their quarterback of the future in Jared Curtis, but Curtis won't be able to play in Athens forever. That means it is extremely important for Kirby Smart and his staff to continue prioritizing the quarterback position in their recruiting efforts so life after Curtis is secure as well.
And it appears Smart has found the next elite quarterback he wants to snag as a five-star QB in the 2028 recruiting class plans to visit Georgia this fall.

5-star QB planning to visit Georgia this season
According to John Garcia with Rivals, five-star quarterback Neimann Lawrence plans to visit Georgia this season. Lawrence is a five-star recruit according to the 247Sports composite rankings who lists him as the No. 38 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 4 quarterback in the 2028 recruiting class and the No. 9 player from his home state of Florida.
Neimann also plans to visit Ohio State, Texas, Miami (FL) and Michigan this season as well, so it is clear that the competition for Neimann will be extreme in this recruitment.
The Bulldogs have been having some issues recruiting a quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class, mainly because no elite quarterback will want to sit on the bench behind Curtis for most of their college career. But that problem doesn't exist in the 2028 class because the QBs in this class will barely overlap with Curtis at Georgia. So the 2028 class is Georgia's best chance at landing another elite QB, and it appears Neimann is the quarterback Georgia wants most.
Neimann's recruitment has a lot of time left in it considering he is only entering his sophomore season in high school. Georgia however has put themselves in a great position early in this recruitment, but only time will tell if they can come out on top or not.
