Georgia baseball is gearing up for what could be one of the best seasons in program history. The Bulldogs had a solid 2024 season that saw them finish with a 43-17 record and 17-13 mark in SEC play. This was good enough to finish No. 11 in the country, which they used to their advantage as they went 3-0 in the NCAA Tournament Regional round.

That unfortunately is where their season ended as the Bulldogs fell 2-1 in the Super Regional against NC State.

But even though the season did not end how they had hoped, Georgia looks to be in an even better position as they aim to make a run at the SEC Championship and College World Series in 2025. And based on the preseason rankings below, Georgia is going to have a great chance to do just that.

Wes Johnson and the Bulldogs check in as the No. 4 team in the country in the college baseball preseason poll. They fall behind Texas A&M, who was the national runner up from last year, as well as LSU and Virginia. Somewhat surprisingly, the Bulldogs are one spot above the Tennessee Volunteers who are the reigning National Champions from a season ago.

Georgia's season opener is right around the corner as the have a two game series with Quinnipiac University to kick off their 2025 season on Feb. 14 and 15. However, SEC play still does not begin for a while as the Bulldogs will play host to Kentucky in mid March.

This year has all the makings of being a special one for the Bulldogs, so be sure to buy into the program now as this will be a fun season to witness.
