Georgia basketball is set to begin SEC play after a remarkable 12-1 start in non-conference play. Unfortunately for Mike White and the Bulldogs is the fact that they must face eight teams currently ranked in the top 25 throughout the month of January.

That jounrey begins with road trip against No. 24 Ole Miss, who is having an equally surprising start to their season as well at 11-2.

It's extremely important for Georgia to start off with a win in SEC play simply because of how difficult the road in front of them is about to get. However, similarly to how the rest of the country has viewed UGA all season, Vegas and ESPN do not like the Bulldogs chances on the road against the Rebels on Saturday.

Georgia vs. Ole Miss Final Odds

As of Friday, Jan. 3 at 8:00 pm EST, Georgia is a 4.5 point underdog to Ole Miss according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over-under is also set at 145.5 points for this game. ESPN's Matchup Predictor also gives Ole Miss a 66.9 percent chance to win this game as well.

Georgia vs. Ole Miss Prediction

This is a very tough game to predict because Georgia hasn't played a good team in quite some time. That doesn't mean that they can't win this game, but they haven't been tested in a little bit so who knows how ready they are for this game.

But this year's version of Georgia basketball feels different. This team feels special. This team feels like they are capable of making the NCAA Tournament for the first time in a decade. And in order to do that, they need to win games like this on the road in the SEC.

And that is exactly what is going to happen.

Prediction: Georgia wins 75-71
