Five-star running back Myson Johnson-Cook is one of the top players in the 2027 recruiting class. He is someone that has caught the eye of Georgia football as well as the Bulldogs have recently been aggressively pursuing him.
According to On3, Georgia, Miami (FL), Texas, LSU, Oregon and Baylor are the schools leading the way for Johnson-Cook, but it sounds like this is a battle between Georgia and Oregon right now.

5-star RB knows he is Georgia's priority
Georgia has a lot of running backs they are interested in from the 2027 class, but according to Johnson-Cook the Bulldogs have told him that he is their top target at the position.
“Georgia has made me feel like a top priority since June 15… They told me that I’m the No. 1 RB on their board.”

Good things usually happen for Georgia when they tell a recruit they are their No. 1 target. This is never a guarantee that they will win the recruitment, but it does put UGA in a position to be one of the top contenders throughout the entire recruitment.
That is exactly what is happening with Johnson-Cook as Rivals' Jed May reported that it is Georgia and Oregon as the top two schools in Johnson-Cook's recruitment.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Johnson-Cook is the No. 31 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 2 ATH in the 2027 recruiting class and the No. 6 overall player from his home state of Texas.
Johnson-Cook does not plan to announce his commitment anytime soon, and no predictions have been made in his recruitment yet either. But Georgia right now is in as good of a position as they can possible be with the five-star running back.
Hopefully Georgia is able to remain at the top of Johnson-Cook's recruitment for the next year, because it is about time Georgia adds another five-star running back to their roster.
