Every recruiting cycle there will be a handful of recruitments that are fun to follow closely for a variety of weird reasons. This year for Georgia football, one of those weird reasons is anytime they are up against Syracuse for a recruit.
Georgia has never really concerned themselves with Syracuse because the two programs are in different conferences and on different levels nationally. But Syracuse is a program on the rise after a 10-3 record in 2024 which included a win in the Holiday Bowl against Washington State.
But the thing that makes Georgia battling Syracuse for a recruit even more exciting is because former Georgia coach Fran Brown is their head coach.
Four-star EDGE Elijah Littlejohn is the recruit both Georgia and Syracuse are targeting, and both programs appear to be doing a very good job recruiting him so far. According to 247Sports, Littlejohn is the No. 232 overall player in the country as well as the No. 24 EDGE and No. 14 player from his home state of North Carolina.
Littlejohn has announced a handful of upcoming visits this spring, and both Georgia and Syracuse will host the talented prospect.

Littlejohn to visit Georgia this spring
According to On3's Chad Simmons, Littlejohn will visit Georgia this spring on March 14. He will also visit Syracuse later this month as well along with SEC rivals Florida and Tennessee.
It's no secret that Georgia fans would love to see Syracuse continue to do well as it was quite fun to watch Brown win 10 games with Syracuse this past season. But even if that is the case, no one wants to see Syracuse excel at the expense of Georgia. So hopefully this is a recruitment Georgia can win, that way they con continue to flex their recruiting muscles by adding a very talented player to their program.
