Recruiting is becoming somewhat of an afterthought now that Georgia’s 2025 season is one week away. But just because fans might be all in on the upcoming season, Kirby Smart and his staff are still putting in work on the recruiting trail.

The Bulldogs have a few targets they still have their eyes set on, and that includes a few recruits committed to other programs. And according to Rivals Marcus Benjamin, the Bulldogs next target is committed to one of the top programs in the ACC.

Georgia targeting 4-star Florida State WR commit

According to the above report from Rivals, Georgia is one of two schools who is attempting to flip four-star wide receiver Brandon Bennett who is currently committed to Florida State.

According to the 247sports composite rankings, Bennett is the No. 274 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 46 wide receiver in the country and the No. 38 player from his home state of Florida.

Georgia has one big reason to be hopeful that they can flip Bennett, and that is because they were the only other program to host him on an official visit this summer. This shows that Georgia likely came in second place in his initial recruitment meaning they probably are the team with the best chance to flip him from the Seminoles.

Florida and Miami (FL) are two more schools who are reportedly targeting Bennett as well, so Georgia will have to beat one of their biggest rivals if they are going to win this recruitment.

The Bulldogs do have four wide receivers already committed to their 2026 recruiting class, so this isn't a must win recruitment for Georgia. Bennett however would be the highest ranked wide receiver, according to the 247Sports rankings, in Georgia's class, so he would clearly be a huge addition to the program.

It will be interesting to see if Georgia can convince Bennett to make a visit to UGA during the upcoming season, and if they can accomplish that then the Bulldogs will stand a decent chance at winning this recruitment.
