April 1 is a weird day in sports because a lot of people use that opportunity to make a lot of joke posts, but after sifting through those pranksters attempts to fool the sports world it turns out that there were a lot of interesting storylines happening in Athens on Tuesday.

Isaiah Gibson minor injury

Georgia football has suffered a fair amount of injuries so far this spring, with most of them being very significant. Unfortunately, Kirby Smart detailed another injury that a freshman is going through during spring ball.

"Isaiah Gibson's dealing with a little bit of an injury that he should be back from here shortly," Smart said via 247sports.com.

Isaiah Gibson is one of the top freshman coming in for Georgia and is someone who could compete for serious playing time during his freshman season this fall. Smart doesn't go into specific details about what this injury is, but he does share that it thankfully is not serious and Gibson should be back on the field soon.

Baseball wins again

Georgia baseball can't stop winning. The Bulldogs are fresh off their series sweep of Auburn from this past weekend, and the good times kept rolling on as they destroyed Queens University of Charlotte 21-1 on Tuesday.

Georgia is obviously expected to win a game like this with ease, but beating anyone by 20 runs is wildly impressive.

Up next for Georgia is a 3-game series at Texas this weekend, which will present a great test for the Bulldogs as the Longhorns are one of the top teams in the SEC.

Kirby Smart discusses who he'll pay to come to Georgia

A lot of the talk this time of the year surrounds NIL and who Georgia is paying and how much they are paying them. Naturally, Smart was asked during his press conference on Tuesday if recruits come in on their visit and ask Georgia to match a monetary offer given to them by another school.

Smart shared that this doesn't happen and that they aren't willing to just hand money out to anyone. He did however go on to say what qualities he is willing to pay a lot of money for.

"But I'll pay a premium for fire, passion, and energy, because in the market we're in, there's a lack of that."

Obviously Georgia wants to bring in the best players possible, but that is only effective if they fit the culture of UGA as well. So looking for and paying for guys who have the passion and fire in them to get better is exactly who Georgia should be spending their money on.
