The end of June means that college football recruiting is still on the minds of every college fan base. That is especially the case for Georgia as they are hoping to see the Bulldogs continue to climb up the recruiting rankings, but after Georgia's dominant run in the NCAA Baseball Tournament fans are eager to see what moves the program makes this offseason.

It just so happens that Wes Johnson just shared what his Transfer Portal and NIL plans are for his program, but before diving into that there was an important development from the No. 1 quarterback in the 2029 recruiting class that every Georgia fan must see.

Top Georgia QB target CJ Cypher commits to Miami

The entire country is focused on the 2027 recruiting class right now. That hasn't stopped some schools from recruiting the 2028 class though, and that includes Georgia who currently has the No. 1 class in the country.

But some schools have turned their attention on the 2029 recruiting class which most schools in the country haven't even begun thinking about.

Miami is one of those schools though as they just earned a commitment from quarterback CJ Cypher. This may not seem important to Georgia, but he is a quarterback from the state of Georgia. On top of that, he is regarded as the No. 1 QB in the 2029 class.

Will his commitment to Miami stick? Who knows, but he likely would've been Georgia's top quarterback target in the 2029 class so it is unfortunate to already see him off the board.

Wes Johnson is taking a page from Kirby Smart's NIL strategy

Kirby Smart's NIL strategy has largely been contested by the rest of the country. Other programs can't seem to wrap their heads around why he would choose to spend Georgia's NIL money to retain their players over buying recruits or transfers.

That strategy though has led Smart to win a lot of championships over the last few years, and it is something that head baseball coach Wes Johnson is trying to copy.

Johnson recently said that he is looking to add players out of the Transfer Portal who want to find long term success at Georgia. Similarly to Smart, he isn't interested in buying players for one year.

Considering Georgia just had one of their best seasons in program history this past year, however Johnson wants to recruit is probably the smartest choice.

4-star Kadin Fife decommits from Tennessee right after visiting Georgia

Four-star defensive lineman Kaden Fife was a long time Tennessee commit. He made the decision to commit to the Vols back in November, but all it took was one visit to Georgia to change his mind.

Fife officially visited Georgia two weeks ago which was the last visit he has taken in his recruitment. And what has he done since that visit? Decommitted from Tennessee.

There's no official word yet that this decision was caused by Georgia, but it seems pretty clear that Georgia is in the driver's seat now that Tennessee is out of the picture.
