The 2025 recruiting class rankings are officially in the books. 247Sports has released their final rankings update, and Georgia football has officially finished the 2025 cycle with the No. 2 class in the country.

It is a little upsetting that Kirby Smart and Georgia didn’t finish No. 1, and it’s even more infuriating that Texas is the team that beat them, but overall everyone should be very happy with finishing No. 2 in the country.

As one would assume, there are a lot of elite players joining the program that fans should be extremely excited about. There are a few five-stars that everyone knows by now because they have been at the top of the class rankings for years now. However, Georgia earned a new five-star when 247Sports updated their rankings, and this player jumped from outside the top 100 all the way into the top 20.

5-star OT Juan Gaston

Juan Gaston has been committed to the Bulldogs for awhile now as he announced his commitment in early August. At the time, he was just outside the top 100 in the country which is extremely good. But that isn’t anything that will raise eyebrows from Georgia fans.

However, 247Sports final rankings update saw Gaston shoot up from outside the top 100 into the top 20. Gaston was the No. 108 player in the country, but he now is No. 18 according to 247Sports. Gaston also is the new No. 4 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 4 player from his home state of Georgia. And to top it all off, this ranking improvement earned Gaston his coveted fifth star.

Gaston has enrolled at Georgia already, so he is already working towards getting ready for the 2025 season. Offensive tackle might be the most difficult position to play as a true freshman though, so Georgia fans may not see him too much this fall. But Gaston will be a massive piece to the offensive line in the future, so he is someone UGA fans should be thrilled is in Athens.
