When Georgia added Justice Fitzpatrick to its top-tier ecruiting class, the 4-star prospect gave hints that he wasn't going to completely close the door on his recruitment,

That's why it wasn't shocking when Fitzpatrick went to the Miami-Notre Dame game back on August 31. Fitzpatrick attends St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Florida — a short trip to Hard Rock Stadium. But now Fitzpatrick is taking a second trip to the stadium to watch the Hurricanes play the Florida Gators.

As the old saying goes, once is a coincidence, twice is a pattern.

Can Georgia get Fitzpatrick back on campus?

Fitzpatrick committed to Georgia in early June, right after he took his official visit to Athens. He has also taken an official visit to Miami, so it's important that Georgia gets him back on campus soon. It's expected that Fitzpatrick will be in Athens next week for the Alabama game. His brother, Minkah, played at Alabama and most of the Bulldog commits are expected to be in town, so it's a massive recruiting weekend for Kirby Smart and staff.

If, for some odd reason, Fitzpatrick doesn't show up in Athens next week, it would be a huge sign that he's wavering on his commitment. As it stands right now, Georgia needs to do everything possible to lock Fitzpatrick down if he's on campus next week.

The Bulldogs have a loaded secondary class

If the Fitzpatrick commitment sticks, he joins safety Jordan Smith and cornerback Caden Harris as the three top 100 national prospects in the 2026 recruiting class. The class also includes 4-star safety Zach Fort and 4-star cornerback Chase Calicut.

Georgia is continuing to recruit defensive backs. The Bulldogs staff just extended an offer to cornerback prospect Rahsjon Duncan, a 3-star recruit out of Oakland, California. Duncan is currently committed to Washington.

The Bulldogs have the No. 2-rated recruiting class in the country.
