Georgia defensive lineman Christen Miller was one of 10 Bulldogs invited to compete at the NFL Combine this year. Miller was already making a name flor himself at the Combine when he had multiple viral moments with the media on Wednesday, but Thursday was his day to shine on the field.

Unfortunately Miller made the decision to not participate at the Combine on Thursday.

Christen Miller decides to sit out at NFL Combine

Miller is coming off his third season at Georgia which wrapped up a very successful career. Not only was he part of two SEC Championships, but he had a lot of great individual moments on the field as well.

Miller had a solid first year in 2023, but his final two years in Athens were his best. In 2024 he racked up 27 tackles and 1.5 sacks followed up with 23 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 2025.

Miller showed enough throughout his career to be a guarantee to be selected in the NFL Draft this summer. Not only will he be drafted, but he is expected to be one of the first defensive lineman taken in the entire draft. He however will not be using the Combine as a way to improve his draft stock.

Miller however did confirm that he will participate at Georgia's Senior Day later this offseason, so that will be his chance to show off his abilities.

So while it may not make a lot of sense to some to sit out of the Combine, Miller has done enough in his career where he doesn't need to chance decreasing his draft stock with a poor performance.

But regardless of what ends up happening, Miller will be selected in the NFL Draft, have a great NFL career and make everyone at Georgia very proud.
