Through five games this season Georgia has not had a night game. Some Georgia fans are upset about this because they are running out of opportunities for a home night game this year, but instead of giving UGA a game under the lights in Athens the SEC decided to hand them a night game at Alabama instead.
Considering how big of a game this will be it makes sense that it will be played at night, but this game time will make life on the road more difficult for Georgia.
When do Georgia and Alabama play?
Kickoff between Georgia and Alabama is scheduled for 7:30 pm EST on Saturday, Oct. 10. This game will take place in Tuscaloosa, AL on the Crimson Tide's campus.
This marks the first night game of the season for Georgia. So far three of their five games have begun right around noon with two starting in the middle of the afternoon, but their upcoming showdown against Alabama is their first game under the lights this year.
This matchup being a night game could be a slight disadvantage for Georgia. Night games typically are when stadium environment's are the most intimidating, and in a game of this magnitude the Alabama crowd will make life extremely difficult for Georgia. The Bulldogs however should welcome this challenge.
Imagine the statement Georgia make if they walk into Alabama and win in front of their crazy crowd and with a national TV audience watching. That could be enough to cement themselves as legit national title contenders in the eyes of the country, so even if this game time favors Alabama the Bulldogs should be excited for the challenge.
