Georgia is off and running after dismantling Tennessee State 63-3 in their season opener. The Bulldogs won't have much time to celebrate though because they have another game coming quick against Western Kentucky next week.
Western Kentucky is a step up in competition compared to Tennessee State, but they should once again be no match for Georgia. That however shouldn't take away from the excitement surrounding this game, and neither should the bad start time Georgia and Western Kentucky were given.
When do Georgia and Western Kentucky play?
Georgia and Western Kentucky will play on Saturday, Sept. 12. Kickoff for this non-conference matchup is set for 12:45 pm EST with the game being playing at Sanford Stadium in Athens, GA.
This is not a great start time. Most fans prefer a night game, but that is never realistic to expect when Georgia plays a lesser opponent like Western Kentucky. They however could still hope for a mid-afternoon game which would give fans more time to tailgate before the game, instead there won't be much time to tailgate at all.
On the bright side a 12:45 pm game time means Georgia's game will end in time to give fans a chance to get home and watch many other games on TV throughout the day.
How to watch Georgia football and Western Kentucky
Georgia and Western Kentucky will play on the SEC Network. This comes after Georgia's season opener against Tennessee State was not on TV at all. Fans had to pay to stream the Bulldogs' week one matchup, so it will be nice to watch Georgia play on a normal channel this week.
This game will be available to be streamed online as well on the ESPN App and on Fubo TV.
What does Vegas think of Georgia's matchup against Western Kentucky?
Georgia once again is a big favorite as Vegas oddsmakers have them favored to win by 35.5 points. The over-under for this game is set at 52.5 points as well. ESPN's matchup predictor is on Georgia's side as well as they give the Bulldogs a 98.1 percent chance to win this game.
35.5 points may seem like a lot to cover, but Georgia was favored by 47.5 in week one against Tennessee State. Georgia ultimately won by 60 points, so they already showed they are capable of covering a spread larger than the one they will face against Western Kentucky.
