Georgia is down another player thanks to the Transfer Portal. This time it is EDGE Elo Modozie who announced on Sunday that he was entering the portal for the second time in his career.

Modozie came to Georgia last season as a transfer from Army with sky high expectations, but he clearly regretted that decision because less than 12 months later he is back in the portal once again.

Former Georgia transfer EDGE is back in the portal again

Modozie spent the first two seasons of his career at Army where he blossomed into one of the top EDGE rushers in the country. During the 2024 season he totaled 34 tackles which included a whopping 6.5 sacks. That production made Georgia extremely exicted to add him to their roster and had many believing he was going to be Georgia's next great pass rusher.

That unfortunately did not end up happening this year.

This past season Modozie only racked up eight tackles and did not get to the quarterback one time. It's hard to know why he time at Georgia didn't work out. Maybe he wasn't ready for the jump to SEC football like everyone thought, but it's clear that he regrets his decision to come to Georgia since he is back in the portal again.

It is interesting that he entered the portal with a "Do not contact" tag. This means that teams can't reach out to him yet which could indicate that he already knows what school he is going to go to.

There probably is a good chance he could end up back at Army if that is the path he wants to take with his life, but regardless it is a little unfortunate that his time in Athens didn't go as anyone was hoping that it would.
