As everyone knows, Kirby Smart and Georgia football love to target many of the highest ranked recruits in the country. That is once again the case in the 2026 recruiting class as well. But that doesnโ€™t mean Smart and his staff can ignore the recruits who might not be ranked as high.

Every year there are multiple players the recruiting sites overlook who turn into some of the best players in college football. So that fact alone means that you canโ€™t afford to ignore these players, which Georgia thankfully is not doing with an in-state wide receiver in the 2026 class.

4-star WR Brady Marchase

Brady Marchese is a wide receiver from Cartersville, GA who according to Rivals is a four-star wide receiver. Rivals has not ranked Marchese yet, but naming him a four-star shows how talented of a player they think he is.

However, the other recruiting sites are not so high on Marchase. 247Sports and On3 both do not have a ranking assigned to Marchase either, and they both currently have him as a zero-star as well. Now this doesn't mean they actually think that lowly of him, but the fact that they haven't found the time to evaluate him yet is a little concerning.

Rankings however do not tell the full story, and Smart and his staff are clearly interested in him since they are reportedly bringing him to Athens on an official visit later this month. According to Sam Spiegelman with Rivals, that visit will be taking place the weekend of June 6. Marchase will also take official visits to Georgia Tech, West Virginia and Virginia Tech as well.

It's unclear at this time how motivated Georgia is to win this recruitment right now, but if Smart and his staff do push hard for a commitment it's hard to see them losing to these three schools.
