It is going to look like more of a Georgia Bulldog reunion than an NFL game when the Las Vegas Raiders play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. With Georgia legend Brock Bowers with Las Vegas and fan favorites Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter suiting up for Philadelphia, expect there to be much trash talk before and during the game.

There are a few other Bulldogs who may also see some playing time including cornerback Eric Stokes, safety Chris Jones II, nose tackle John Jenkins, and running back Zamir White for the Raiders. Bowers will face off against Davis and Carter at the line, then have to evade Nakobe Dean and Kelee Ringo in the defensive backfield for the Eagles. Bowers and the Raiders are playing for respect, while the Eagles are battling to stay in the hunt for a playoff spot.

Disappointing season overshadows this gathering of Bulldogs

Las Vegas comes in at 2-11 after their season has been plagued by numerous injuries throughout the roster. A win against Philadelphia would be for self respect only. The Eagles have a much stronger path to the NFL playoffs, but need to win this game to avoid dicey wild card scenarios.

Bowers has turned in solid numbers, but less than normal due to an earlier injury. Jones and White have not played much and have unfortunately had no impact this season.

The reigning Super Bowl champions have struggled for most of this season with a sputtering offense to the tune of an 8-5 record. Both Davis and Carter have underperformed on the defensive line with lower sacks and tackles than previous seasons. Ringo has no interceptions and Dean has twice as many sacks as Carter does despite being injured earlier in the season.

Georgia fans should tune in to watch just to see this many Georgia Bulldogs in one game in the NFL and cheer their favorites on because this game will provide some filler Georgia action before UGA begins their playoff run in a couple of weeks.
