Georgia's poor offensive performance against Auburn wasn't expected, and in particular, quarterback Gunner Stockton had what amounted to a terrible day, going 22 of 34 for 272 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.

But it was the fumble that handed the ball to Auburn for the game-winning field goal that was the capper on Stockton's awful day.

Stockton's poor decisions and unusually off-target passes had Georgia fans wondering if he was playing under the effects of a concussion. Stockton does put his body (and head) in harm's way often, but there had been no indication that he had been or was being checked for a head injury.

On the first play of the game against Auburn, Stockton took a big hit that would have rattled most quarterbacks, but he remained in the game and looked fine in the Bulldogs' first two drives.

Still, he was definitely off his game after that, which had fans both upset and concerned.

If Stockton was feeling any ill effects from that hit, he'd be the last one to speak up and say anything. While there may not have been enough of an indicator to take him out of the game, perhaps that hit did jar him enough to make him a bit dizzy as the game went on.

Being off his game doesn't necessarily mean a concussion. It could just be a bad day, and it could be (as some fans surmised) a Mike Bobo problem during the game.

Stockton concussion...Mike Bobo play-calling...or maybe, just maybe, it's a big rivalry game against a team that's lost two very close games and didn't want to lose a record-setting tenth straight game to one of their biggest rivals.

Stockton came back in the 4th quarter to lead a huge touchdown drive to tie the game, and definitely looked more like the quarterback Georgia fans are used to seeing. But then his third turnover of the game sealed Georgia's fate.

The 27-24 loss was Georgia's first of the season, and the first time Kirby Smart had lost a regular season game while being ranked as the No. 1 team in the nation. It remains to be seen how far Georgia will fall as several other Top 10 teams also went down on this chaotic Saturday.

Thankfully, the Bulldogs have a bye week before facing the Florida Gators in Atlanta. That will give all the injured Dawgs a chance to heal up and will give Gunner an extra week to shake off any cobwebs that he may be experiencing.
