The biggest story of the offseason for Georgia football was when Carson Beck made the decision to transfer to Miami (FL) for the 2025 season. Georgia fans were initially upset by this move, but they have since moved on and have somewhat forgotten about their former quarterback.
Beck did a lot of good things for Georgia during his career, but UGA fans are more than happy with Gunner Stockton after his dominant performance against Marshall, but it's impossible to not pay attention to what Beck and Miami are doing after all of the drama that unfolded this offseason.
Miami had one of the biggest wins of week one in all of college football as a top 10 Notre Dame team traveled south to take on the Hurricanes. There weren't many people who gave Miami much of a chance in this game, but they went out and beat the Irish 27-24 anyways.
Beck had himself a very nice game as he completed 20 of 31 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns, but it was what he said moments after the game went final that will make Georgia fans cringe.

Carson Beck takes passing shot at Georgia after beating Notre Dame
Beck obviously was emotional after Miami's upset win over Notre Dame on Sunday. How could he not be after all the drama that unfolded in his life both on and off the field since making the move to Miami? But some of these comments made in the above interview are shocking to say the least.
The most surprising of all came when the reporter asked abot Beck's previous comments he made about finally being able to love playing football again. Was that not the case at Georgia? Did he not love winning and playing for the No. 1 program and head coach in the country? Or was life at Georgia just too difficult for him because of the style in which Georgia runs their program?
Who knows what Beck meant with this comment, but it's a great reminder for Georgia fans that they are better off with who they have on their team today.
