Attending the Sugar Bowl will not be easy. Not only will Georgia fans have to cross state lines to get to New Orleans, but the trip itself is very expensive.
Hotels, food, drinks, car rids and maybe even plane tickets stand in the way of UGA fans from watching Georgia begin their College Football Playoff run. But the greatest expense of all is the tickets to actually get into the game with the lowest price currently sitting just shy of $300.

Sugar Bowl ticket prices are punishing Georgia fans
$300 for one ticket is a lot of money, but no one will be going to this game alone. Families or a group of friends going to the game will likely have to spend over $1,000 just to attend the game. But comparing this price to the three other CFP games shows the harsh penalty Georgia fans will have to face to go to the Sugar Bowl.
The cheapest ticket for the Rose Bowl between Alabama and Indiana is similar at $269, but the two other games are much chearper. The Orange Bowl between Oregon and Texas Tech is just $157 and the Cotton Bowl between Ohio State and Miami is just $110.
It is worth mentioning that these prices are the cheapest ticket available, so in order to have good seats fans will have to pay even more money.
The Sugar Bowl however is not the first big game Georgia has played in, not even close. And all the other big games with expensive tickets were still dominated by Georgia fans, so that likely will occur once again in New Orleans.
But the fans attending the game will have to be ready to spend some major cash because cheering on the Bulldogs against the Ole Miss Rebels will not be cheap.
