Georgia football has a massive game this Saturday against No. 7 Tennessee. It has been over a month since Kirby Smart and Georgia have played a home game, but that thankfully will change on Saturday when the Vols come to Athens to take on the Bulldogs.

With any home game, there is always a lot of recruiting hype for Georgia as they typically bring in a lot of elite recruits on visits. And that is the case once again this weekend.

One of those recruits is a top 50 EDGE in the 2025 class, who has also just announced a commitment date.

4-star EDGE Chase Linton

Four-star EDGE Chase Linton has shared that he will be announcing his commitment next Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Linton is one of the top recruits in the country as 247Sports rank him as their No. 45 overall player in the country. He also is the No 4 EDGE in his class as well as the No. 7 player from the state of Georgia.

Linton will be deciding between Georgia, Rutgers and Georgia Tech on Wednesday when he announces his commitment. These are two schools that UGA should always feel good going against on the recruiting trail, but there are a lot of great signs for Georgia in this recruitment.

The first is that Linton is expected to be in Athens this weekend when Georgia takes on Tennessee. Linton visiting Georgia only a few days before his commitment could be a huge indicator that he is leaning towards the Bulldogs in his recruitment. But an even bigger indicator in Georgia's favor is that UGA currently holds four crystal ball predictions on 247Sports to win this recruitment.

Linton would join a stellar 2025 recruiting class for Georgia that already features elite talent on the defensive line. The Bulldogs already have the No. 1 defensive lineman (Elijah Griffin) and No. 1 EDGE (Isaiah Gibson) in their class, and Georgia is also in great position to land the No. 2 defensive lineman Justus Terry as well. So Linton would fit right in with this elite group of talented players on the defensive line.

Georgia fans thankfully won't have to wait much longer to see if Linton commits to the Bulldogs. But as of now, Georgia appears to be in great position to do so.
