Georgia football currently has the No. 1 recruiting class in the country, and with multiple big names still on the board for Kirby Smart and his staff, there is a great chance they end the cycle on top for the second year in a row.

One of those big name is five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry. Terry has had a back-and-forth recruitment for multiple years now, but his recruitment is finally coming to an end this week as the early signing period begins on Wednesday.

Terry is one of the best players in the country, coming in as the No. 10 overall player in the 2025 class according to the 247sports composite rankings. He also is the No. 2 defensive lineman and No. 3 player from the state of Georgia as well.

Smart and his staff have been after Terry for years now, so the hope is that they will be able to be the team that wins this recruitment later this week. But according to Terry himself, he has officially shut down his recruitment and is no longer allowing schools to contact him ahead of his commitment date on Dec. 4.

Where does Georgia stand with Justus Terry?

Georgia appears to be the leader in this recruitment as 247Sports has logged five crystal ball predictions in the Bulldogs' favor. However, it may not be that simple.

Tererry's most recent visit was to Auburn at the end of November, and reports have said that this visit went extremely well. None of the predictions in Georgia's favor have been flipped, but there are a lot of rumors going around that Auburn is a serious contender.

On top of that, Sports Illustrated shared on article today saying that Texas has been heavily involved with Terry as well.

So while Georgia appeared to be the leader for a long time, that may no longer be the case. We will find out what Terry's decision is on Dec. 6, but as it stands right now Georgia may not be the clear favorite like everyone thought.
