The recruiting rankings for the 2025 class are officially in the books as the major recruiting sites have all released their final rankings over the last few days. 247Sports released their final rankings on Wednesday, and one Bulldog saw their ranking shoot up 90 spots into the top 20 which earned their fifth star.

This was the biggest story for Georgia football from the updates from 247Sports, but Thursday marked On3’s turn to release their final rankings. And once again Georgia saw another player officially earn their fifth star.

5-star WR Talyn Taylor

Talyn Taylor is an extremely talented wide receiver from Illinois. Taylor is someone who has been hanging around five-star status for quite some time now and even had his fifth star for a few months. But he unfortuantely saw himself drop in the rankings and lose his fifth star.

That however is no longer the case as Taylor has officially earned his fifth according to On3. On3 gave just 32 players five stars this cycle, and it turns out that Taylor comfortably finished inside the top 32 at No. 22. Taylor earning his fifth star also marks the first time Georgia has signed a five-star receiver since the 2019 recruiting class.

Taylor’s addition to the wide receiver room at Georgia is huge heading into next season. It’s unlikely that he will be a day one starter because of the elite talent UGA has brought in from the transfer portal, but he is someone Georgia fans should expect to see early and often. However, looking beyond next season is when things get really exciting for Taylor because he has all the makings of being a star in college.

So once Taylor is able to get used to playing at the college level, Georgia fans should fully expect him to be regarded as one of the top wide receivers in the country.
