Georgia football is just one day removed from the second massive recruiting weekend of June where they welcomed 18 official visitors to Athens. The hope after having so many recruits on campus is that Georgia will be able to land at least one new commit fresh off their visit.
And that is exactly what happened as in-state three-star offensive lineman Zachary Lewis has made his commitment to Georgia official on Monday afternoon.

Georgia beats Georgia Tech for 3-star offensive lineman
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Lewis is the No. 780 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 69 interior offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 86 overall player from the Peach State.
Georgia’s biggest competition for Lewis was in-state rival Georgia Tech. In fact, the Yellow Jackets hosted Lewis one week earlier on an official visit of their own. While Tech clearly wanted Lewis in their class, Georgia increased their pursuit of Lewis this weekend which ultimately was enough to convince him to pick the Bulldogs over Georgia Tech.
Lewis currently plays right tackle for his high school team, but he more than likely will slide inside once he arrives in Athens. Some experts are reporting that he could play center for Georgia, but Lewis will either find himself there or as one of Georgia’s offensive guards.
Now that Lewis has made his commitment to Georgia official, all eyes will now turn to four-star corner Caden Harris. Harris is a top 100 player that is currently committed to Vanderbilt, but after his visit to Georgia this past weekend he was officially predicted to flip from Vanderbilt to Georgia.
But until that happens, Georgia fans can celebrate their 13th commit of the 2026 class which gives UGA the No. 6 class in the country according to 247Sports.
