Georgia commit Khamari Brooks ruled out for the season
Khamari Brooks is one of the top players in the country and in Georgia's recruiting class. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Brooks is the No. 142 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 17 EDGE in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 18 overall player from the Peach State.
Brooks committed to Georgia at the end of June, and since then he has been one of the leaders of UGA's recruiting class. Not only are expectations high for Brooks when he gets to Georgia next year, but the expectations for him during his senior season in high school were even greater. Unfortunately Brooks fractured his hip that will force him to miss the rest of his season.
No specific information has been released about the exact moment this injury took place, but it is confirmed that he will be out for the entire season.
This came at the worst time for Brooks because he was the leader of a team that was No. 1 in their division of Georgia high school football. So he unfortunately will not be able to help contribute to what could have been a State Championship season.
Brooks standing in Georgia's recruiting class is not in jeopardy because of this injury as he will likely make a full recovery before he steps foot on campus. But it's hard not to feel terrible for him as he misses the final season of playing with his childhood teammates.
