Malcom Gaston is a name that every Georgia football fan is going to want to learn. Gaston is a three-star offensive lineman from North Augusta, SC who is quickly becoming a recruit who appears to be trending to UGA.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Gaston is the No. 393 overall player in the country. Gaston also is the No. 34 offensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class and the No. 8 overall player from his home state of California.
There are a lot of reasons why Georgia might be the team to beat for Gaston, but the latest news from 247Sports is one of the biggest reasons why Gaston is giving off that impression.

3 reasons Gaston might be trending to Georgia
According to 247Sports, Gaston has schduled an official visit to Georgia which just so happens to be the only official visit he has scheduled so far.
On top of that, Gaston also came out and said earlier this month that the Bulldogs were one of his top schools in his recruitment. Then to wrap it all up, Georgia just recently hosted Gaston on a visit during Georgia's second Junior Day of the offseason.
Gaston has not shared a date he intends to announce his commitment yet, and there also has not been any official predictions made in his recruitent either. But all of these signs are very good indicators that the Bulldogs are one of the top teams if not the No. 1 team in his recruitment right now.
So even if Gaston doesn't commit anytime soon, Georgia has to love where they stand right now. That doesn't mean that Kirby Smart and his staff can let up in this recruitment because many of the other top programs in the country have recently offered Gaston, but it looks like Georgia is the team to beat right now which is a great spot to be.
