This is the time of the year on the recruiting trail where recruits begin to narrow down who their top schools in their recruitment are. We also learn which teams are trending in each recruitment and if Georgia football is closing in on any commitments.
While it has been over a month now since Kirby Smart and Georgia have earned a commitment, they have made a lot of progress with many recruits throughout the country. However, not every recruitment has gone Georgia's way, and On3's Chad Simmons recently shared an unfortunate update with one of Georgia's top targets at corner.
One team is currently trending at the top for 4-star CB Chauncey Kennon, @ChadSimmons_ reports👀

4-star CB Chauncey Kennon
Chauncey Kennon is a four-star corner from Sarasota, FL. According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Kennon is the No. 62 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 9 player from Florida and the No. 9 corner in the 2026 recruiting class as well.
Kennon has announced five schools that he plans to take official visits to later this summer, and Georgia will get one of those visits. Kennon will also take a visit to Florida State, Miami (FL), Auburn and LSU.
Simmons also reported in the above post that one team is trending in this recruitment. That information is restricted to On3 subscribers by clicking on the link in the above post, but navigating to Kennon's On3 profile does give us some intel. His profile shows that On3 has Florida State as the current leader in this recruitment, giving them a 33.5 percent chance to win.
That percentage clearly is not very high, so that means Georgia and every school in this recruitment still have a great chance to catch up in this recruitment. The best chance for UGA to do that is when Kennon takes his official visit to Athens on June 6, so hopefully Smart and his staff can hit a home run on that visit.
