Every year ESPN introduces a new theme song for the college football season. Georgia football is always one of the programs featured the most in this video, but this year is different for UGA. This year the Bulldogs are front and center and the very first team seen at the start of the new video.

Georgia first team seen in ESPN's new college football theme song
The above video will be played countless times throughout the 2025 college football season. Whenever ESPN goes live for a new game this is the song and video that will play on their network. And when this video is played, Georgia will be the first thing that people will see.
Sanford Stadium in all of its glory will be the first image in ESPN's video. This clip shows Sanford Stadium at night with all of the red lights and fireworks going off which creates what is arguably the best and most electric atmosphere in the country.
ESPN could have chosen any school in the country to be the first image in this video, but they opted to go with Georgia. This really shouldn't be all that surprising though, because the Bulldogs are the reigning champions of the best conference in the country.
On top of that, Kirby Smart and Georgia have been the best program in the country this decade as well. No team can compare to UGA's two National Championships and two SEC titles over the last five years. Georgia is the gold standard of college football today, so it maybe shouldn’t be all that surprising that they are front and center in this video.
Now it’s up to Georgia to show the rest of the country why ESPN made this decision. Now it’s up to Georgia to validate being put first in this video by going out and winning the SEC again.
