Georgia football is currently in the process of putting the finishing touches on their 2025 recruiting class. According to 247Sports, the Bulldogs currently have the No. 3 ranked class in the country, but some experts have said they think UGA will finish even higher.

But even though Kirby Smart and his staff are putting a majority of their focus on the 2025 class, they still haven’t stopped prioritizing the 2026 class. And it just so happens that Georgia is already trending with one of the top wide receivers in the 2026 class.

4-star WR Vance Spafford

Chad Simmons of On3 has officially placed a prediction for Georgia to land four-star wide receiver Vance Spafford.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Spafford is the No. 64 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 10 wide receiver and No. 10 ranked player from California.

Stafford currently holds 29 scholarship offers, which includes some big name programs like Miami (FL), Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Auburn and Florida. But it appears Georgia is the clear leader as of now.

On top of this prediction from On3, Spafford also has three crystal ball predictions on 247Sports to commit to Georgia as well. This includes two predictions placed on Nov. 1 as well as one from earlier in October.

Georgia currently has two commits in their 2026 class which includes four-star corner Dominick Kelly and three-star corner Jontavius Wyman. A commitment from Spafford would make him the highest ranked commit in the UGA class and propel them to No. 16 in the country.

Spafford’s recruitment still has a long way to go, and even if he committed to Georgia the Bulldogs would have to hold on to that commitment for a long time. But Smart and his staff are making the right moves and appear to be closing in on their third commit of the 2026 class.
