Georgia football and Kirby Smart are hitting the ground running when it comes to recruiting. They are hitting the transfer portal pretty hard so far and have now turned the page to the 2026 recruiting class and working on some of the best recruits in the country in the class as well.

But there is another avenue that Smart and his staff are tapping into on the recruiting trail, and that is the Junior College ranks.

It is a little more rare to see Georgia go after a player from a JUCO school, but when they find someone with a lot of talent then they are all in. And that is exactly what is happening with one of the top JUCO players in the country, who has just put Georgia in his top 10.

DT Seven Cloud

Seven Cloud is a defensive tackle who just finished up an impressive season with Butler Community College. This past season, he recorded 48 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 10 games played. He also recorded two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery as well.

According to ESPN's JUCO recruiting rankings, Cloud is the No. 2 player in the country. So it is no surprsie to see Smart and his staff targeting him so aggressively.

Cloud recently announced his top 10 schools, which includes Georgia, Western Kentucky, Florida, Mississippi State, Boise State, South Carolina, Auburn, Tennessee, Missouri and Kentucky. And as of today, it appears that Georgia may be the team to beat.

There is only one crystal ball prediction made in this recruitment so far, and that was made on Dec. 11 in favor of Georgia on 247Sports. And it really shouldn't be a surprise to see that Georgia is the leader because Cloud is originally from Atlanta, GA. So heading back to his home state to play for one of the best programs in the country seems like a very realisitc option for him.

Time will tell if this is a recruitment Georgia wins or not, but things are looking very promising right now.
