It has been a quiet few weeks on the recruiting trail for Georgia football as the college football world is in the midst of a recruiting dead period. But that doesn't mean Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs still haven't been working hard and receiving good news on the trail.
UGA recently received some great news from two in-state targets as they work out who their top programs are, and thankfully for Georgia they continue to make the cut with these two players.
4-star RB Jonaz Walton
Jonaz Walton is a four-star running back and one of the top ranked players in Georgia. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Walton is the No. 99 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 8 running back in the 2026 class and the No. 14 player from his home state of Georgia.
Walton announced his top 10 schools on Sunday, and Georgia has made the cut according to Hayes Fawcett with On3.

Florida, Notre Dame, Florida State, Auburn, Miami (FL), Oregon, Alabama, Tennessee and Stanford also made Walton's top 10 along with Georgia.
Walton has not yet announced any official visits for this summer, so that means no one really knows who out of this group is leading the way. But the hope is Georgia will be able to earn one of those visits so they can start working their way towards the top of Walton's list.
4-star OT Parker Pritchett
The second player who gave Georgia some great news recently is four-star offensive tackle Parker Pritchett.

Pritchett is one of the top offensive tackles from his home state of Georgia. According to Rivals, Prithett is the No. 41 player from the entire state of Georgia and the No. 36 tackle in the country as well.
Pritchett anounced four official visits on Monday for later this summer, and according to Rivals' Sam Spieglman he will take those visits to Auburn, Texas A&M, Mississippi State and Georgia. The Bulldogs will get the last visit which is always a good sign, but it's the Auburn Tigers out in front in this recruitment as they have the only crystal ball prediction in their favor on 247Sports.
There is still plenty of time to change the narrative in this recruitment, but for now the Bulldogs have some work to do to catch up to their SEC rivals.
