Sunday has turned into quite the day for Georgia football. After losing to Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl, the biggest fear was that many Bulldogs will begin entering the transfer portal now that the season is officially over. Even former Georgia star David Pollack shared this fear. And those fears became a reality after two Bulldogs entered the transfer portal on Sunday.

Quarterback Jaden Rashada already entered the portal on Sunday which was a big hit for UGA as he was going to have every chance to win the starting job next season. And joining Rashada in the portal is another key player who was set to have a major role on the team next year.

Georgia WR Anthony Evans enters the transfer portal

According to Hayes Fawcett with On3, Georgia wide receiver Anthony Evans has entered the transfer portal.

Evans has spent his two seasons in college with Georgia and just wrapped up a season where he recorded nine receptions for 88 yards. Evans was also prolific in the return game on special teams, which just speaks to his athleticism and how great he could have been for Georgia next season.

Sure Evans didn't make a huge impact on the field this season, but that partially had to do with some injuries that he dealt with throughout the season. Evans was also a little farther down the depth chart this season then he probably would have liked, but that all would have changed next season as he would have had every chance to become one of the top receivers on the team next fall.

Georgia's wide receiver room was not strong this season, so losing any contributor from a group that already struggled is a big loss. Kirby Smart now more than ever needs to aggressively go after multiple receivers in the transfer portal, because if he does not then Georgia's offense could be in trouble next season.
