Georgia football has received a lot of good news recently, and a lot of that news has centered around the Bulldogs making the top list for various recruits across the country. Sure that news might not be as exciting as earning a commitment, but it is a very important step in a players recruitment. So the more of these lists that Georgia can make the better.
And that is exactly what happened on Friday when Kirby Smart and Georgia made the top three for one of their top priority recruits.

4-star EDGE Khamari Brooks
Khamari Brooks is one of the best players in the entire 2026 recruiting class. According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Brooks is the No. 154 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 11 EDGE and the No. 19 player from his home state of Georgia.
Brooks has been someone that Georgia has been high on for a very long time now, and it appears their efforts with him on the recruiting trail have been paying off. According to Hayes Fawcett with On3, Georgia has officially made the top three for Brooks along with Clemson and Alabama.
It is unclear at this time who the leader in his recruitment is, but Georgia has to love their chances as the in-state school. There hasn't been any official predictions made in Brooks' recruitment yet, but On3 lists Georgia as the heavy favorite. As of today, they give the Bulldogs a 67.9 percent chance at winning this recruitment.
Time will tell if that prediction comes true or not, but it would be a little surprising to see Georgia lose this recruitment. So hopefully Smart and his staff can continue to recruit Brooks hard so they can earn a commitment from him when it's all said and done.
