With all of the attention in the college football world on the 2026 recruiting class, Kirby Smart and his staff are still doing everything they can to lay the groundwork for the 2027 class as well. So far Georgia has just one commit in their 2027 class, but they are looking to add to that total in a hurry.
One player the Bulldogs have their eyes on is four-star safety Adryan Cole, who Georgia was named as the "early favorite" for according to Rivals' Jed May.

Georgia in good position with elite in-state safety
According to Rivals, Cole is the No. 74 overall player in the country. He also is the No. 5 safety in the 2027 recruiting class as well as the No. 11 player from the Peach State.
It is unlikely that Cole is going to announce a commitment anytime soon since he is a member of the 2027 class, but the fact that Georgia is already the favorite to win his recruitment is significant. This is especially the case because the competition in Cole's recruitment is expected to be high.
Cole already holds 40 scholarship offers, which includes offers from SEC powerhouses like Alabama, Florida, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas and Auburn. On top of that, top programs from around the country are interested in Cole as well as teams like Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon and Miami (FL) have offered Cole as well.
But as it stands today, the Bulldogs lead the way in Cole's recruitment. While this is a good place to be for one of the best players from Georgia's backyard, there is still a year and a half to go in his recruitment, so anything can happen from now until he signs at the end of 2026. But make sure to watch this name closely because Georgia has a great chance at making Cole a future Bulldog.
