One of the best things that sometimes happens after Georgia has a big win on the field is a drastic increase in their recruiting momentum. And there really is no bigger win than beating the No. 1 team in the country on the road.
Thankfully Georgia football already has one of the top classes in the country as their 2025 class is currently ranked No. 3 by 247Sports. But the 2025 recruiting cycle is far from over, and Kirby Smart and his staff are still looking to make a lot of big moves.
One of those big moves is the staff handing out an offer to a talented QB currently committed to Cal.
According to On3, Georgia has officially offered four-star QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele. According to 247Sports, Sagapolutele is the No. 106 player in the country. He also is the No. 8 QB and the top player from the state of Hawaii.
Sagapolutele has been committed to Cal since the beginning of July, but that isn’t stopping Smart and his staff from getting in the race for his commitment at the end of the cycle.
Gerogia already has a talented QB committed to their 2025 class in four-star Ryan Montgomery. Montgomery is a very talented recruit in his own accord, coming in at No. 146 in the country. With both players being relatively equal in the recruiting rankings, I’m not sure what Smart’s play is here.
It’s very abnormal to grab two QBs in the same recruiting class, only one ever plays on the field at a time anyways. So hopefully this development doesn’t push Montgomery away from Georgia, because he is someone who could very well be the future of the quarterback position at Georgia.
But at this time, Sagapolutele has only been offered by Georgia. An offer doesn’t always mean there is a lot of interest from Smart and his staff. So we’re going to have to wait and see if any more news comes out regarding this recruitment.
