Georgia football projected to challenge NFL Draft record in 2025

Three years ago in the 2022 NFL Draft, Georgia football set a record by becoming the first team to have 15 players drafted in the same draft. That record still stands today, and many think no one will ever come close to breaking it.

Especially in today's new college football landscape, it is becoming increasinlgy difficult to stack talent as players move around to other programs that offer just a little more money.

But what if Georgia was actually on the verge of challenging this record this coming draft?

Georgia projected to have 14 players drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft

According to NFL Mock Draft Database, Georgia will have 14 players selected in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. This includes four players going in the first round with the first Georgia pick being Mykel Williams at 14th overall.

Here are the 14 players this site projects to be drafted later this summer.

These projections are pretty hard to believe, simply based on the fact that having 14 players drafted in the same draft is nearly impossible. But looking at it a little deeper, you see someone like running back Trevor Etienne who is pretty unlikely to get drafted later this summer.

That's not because he isn't good enough, but it has more to do with him probably being more likely to return to Georgia for another season. And it's probably a safe assumption that more than just Etienne will stay in college for another year as well.

But still, this projection is an average of many different NFL mock drafts, so as of now this is about as accurate of a projection as there is out there.

But again, this is very unlikely to happen, so it would be wise to not count on this occurring this year.
