Teddy Jarrard is a four-star quarterback from the Peach State in the 2027 recruiting class. Most recruitments in the 2027 class are yet to ramp up, but that is not the case with Jarrard as he just announced his top five schools which included Georgia football.

Georgia battling college football blue bloods for 4-star QB
Jarrard's top five consists of Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State. This is quite the interesting top five because every school outside of Georgia is from the north. Sure all four of these schools are very good programs, but seeing him exclude every other SEC school is a bit shocking for someone who is from the state of Georgia.
Regardless, making Jarrard's top five is a big deal becuase he is the No. 2 quarterback in the country according to Rivals. He also is the No. 52 overall player in the country as well.
Kirby Smart and Georgia should stand a good chance at winning this recuitment based simply on the fact that he is from the state of Georgia. However, the fact that UGA has quarterback Jared Curtis committed to their 2026 class could cause some problems for the Bulldogs.
Will someone as talented as Jarrard want to come to Georgia immediately after Curtis where he will likely sit behind him for a few years? Jarrard could very easily go to one of these four other schools and potentially become a starter sooner than he could at UGA, so this very will could be a concern for Jarrard moving forward
No official prediction has been placed in Jarrard's recruitment yet, but On3 has Notre Dame as the favorite right now. In fact, On3 gives the Irish a whopping 94.5 percent chance to win this battle. Georgia will have plenty of time to come back and win this recruitment, but right now it's Notre Dame who is trending in this recruitment.
