Georgia football has officially signed the No. 4 recruiting class in the country, but that doesn’t mean the commitments for Georgia are over.

Kirby Smart and his staff have been aggressively targeting a recruit from the Junior College level and earned a commitment on Saturday, and it’s a name you may remember.

Defensive Lineman Seven Cloud

Butler Community College defensive lineman Seven Cloud has announced his commitment to Georgia. According to the ESPN JUCO rankings, Cloud is the No. 2 overall player in the country.

Cloud was a former member of the 2023 recruiting class while in high school, and he even committed to Georgia back then. But he held eligibility issues which prevented him from going to Georgia originally, so that’s why he ended up at the JUCO level at Butler Community College.

But even though he didn’t end up at Georgia originally, his relationship with Georgia never ended. UGA defensive line coach Tray Scott played a big role in his recruitment out of high school, and according to 247Sports that relationship never ended.

Scott continued to speak with Cloud while he was playing at the JUCO level, and when it came time for him to make the jump to division one football, Georgia was there waiting for him.

”He's glad I'm back playing football, and he said he still wants me,” Cloud shared.

This past season, Cloud finished with 48 tackles and 5.5 sacks in just six games. So it really is not surprising to see him receive so much interest from other major programs such as Miami (FL), Auburn, LSU and Arkansas.

Cloud has a great chance to come to Georgia and compete for playing time immediately. And at the very worst he will be a very solid depth piece for Georgia, which is never a bad thing to have.
