The SEC has officially announced Georgia football’s 2026 SEC schedule. Georgia fans learned who their three annual opponents would be on Monday, but Tuesday marked the release of the rest of their SEC schedule through the 2029 season.

No dates have been released for any of these games yet, but Georgia now knows which nine teams they will play beginning in 2026.

Georgia's 3 annual opponents

Georgia fans will need to get used to seeing Auburn, Florida and South Carolina on their schedules because the Bulldogs are guaranteed to play these three teams every year through 2029. At that point the SEC will re-evaluate these matchups for the entire conference and make adjustments as they see fit.

Georgia’s matchup with Florida will remain at a neutral site in 2026. The Bulldogs will host Auburn between the hedges next season while hitting the road and traveling to South Carolina.

Georgia's 6 other SEC opponents in 2026

Georgia is left with 12 other SEC teams now since they will play those three already mentioned teams every year. UGA will face these teams in groups of six that they will rotate between over the next four years.

The six other SEC opponents Georgia will play in 2026 include home games against Missouri, Vanderbilt and Oklahoma and away games at Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss.

The Bulldogs will face these same six opponents again in 2028 at the opposite venue from where they will be played next season. This leaves six other SEC teams that Georgia will play in 2027 and 2029.

Georgia's issue with their 2026 schedule

The Bulldogs will now only play three non-conference games each year because of the nine SEC teams they now play each season. On paper that really isn't that big of a deal, but the problem for Georgia is that they already have four non-conference games scheduled for next season.

These games include home dates against Tennessee State, Western Kentucky and Georgia Tech as well as a road game at Louisville. Georgia unfortunately will have no choice but to cancel one of these games, and at this point that decision has not been made yet.
