G-Day is always looked at as one of the most exciting, if not the most exciting event of the offseason. Sure there are a lot of other thrilling events throughout the offseason mostly centered around recruiting, but G-Day easily is the best of them all for most fans.

The one thing G-Day does though is make it feel like football season is back. Unfortunately that is not the case because the regular season is still over four months away, a fact no Georgia football fan ever wants to think about.

However, Georgia fans have no choice but to endure the long offseason months, with very little to look forward to until fall camp begins and the regular season kicks off at the end of August.

There is one other event though that is always fun to pay attention to, and that is the SEC Media Days. This event is always scheduled in the middle of the summer right before fall camp begins, and the SEC just released their schedule for Media Days this year.

Georgia's Media Day scheduled for July 15

According to Paul Finebaum, Georgia's SEC Media Day is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15. The Bulldogs will have Auburn, Tennessee and Texas alongside them during their Media Day as well.

Similar to previous years, Georgia will most certainly have a few players join Kirby Smart to their Media Day, but that announcement will come at a later date once July is much closer.

So for all the fun that can be had while following recruiting, July 15 is the day every Georgia fan should have circled on their calendar. SEC Media Days is when football season officially kicks off because soon after their Media Day appearance, Georgia will kick off fall camp and really start ramping up to the start of the season.

So enjoy the summer months as much as you can, because July is right around the corner which means Georgia football will officially be back.
