Game day is officially here as the Georgia Bulldogs welcome Mississippi State to Athens for Georgia's fourth SEC game of the season. Kirby Smart's Bulldogs enter the game with a 4-1 record after defeating Auburn last week 31-13.

Mississippi State on the other hand enters the game with an abysmal 1-4 record after a 35-13 loss at Texas two weeks ago. MSU is coming off a bye so they will have fresh legs, but at the end of the day that shouldn't matter when the talent gap is this large.

Before the game gets here this afternoon, let's take a quick look at the series history between the Bulldogs of the SEC.

Georgia dominates Mississippi State all time

As you may have guessed, Georgia leads the all time series against Mississippi State by a large margin. The Bulldogs hold a 20-6 edge in this series with a 12-2 record at home. Georgia is also a perfect 3-0 against MSU with Smart at the healm as well.

Georgia is riding a four game win streak in this series with their last loss coming in 2010 in Starkville. The last meeting between these two was in 2022 on the road where UGA won in dominant fashion 45-19. Winning by large margins has become the norm in this series for Georgia as three of their last four wins have all come by at least 14 points.

Will this trend continue today? Can Georgia make it five straight wins against the fake Bulldogs? It would be shocking, and honestly very disheartening, if they did not.

Georgia does have to avoid looking ahead to next with a huge matchup against Texas looming. But if the Bulldogs give their full and undivided attention to Mississippi State then they should have no problems improving their season record to 5-1.
