Georgia football's top goal will always be winning a National Championship. Anything short of that will feel like a disappointment. But there are other goals that Georgia has every year as well, and accomplishing these goals will dampen the feeling of disappointment if UGA does not win a National Championship.

One of those goals is winning the SEC, which is not an easy thing to do. Every season the SEC has their normal powerhouse programs that will always be difficult to overcome, and the conference also seems to always have a new team that bursts onto the scene like South Carolina this past season.

But winning the SEC will always be a big deal, and when Georgia accomplishes that they deserve to be celebrated. And that's exactly what Georgia did on Monday when they received their SEC Championship rings, as seen in the below social media post.

Georgia's new SEC Championship rings

Getting a ring for winning a championship is a big deal, but winning the SEC this past season after everything Georgia went through makes it even more special.

For starters, Georgia faced the toughest conference schedule by far after playing the top four teams in the league in Alabama, Tennessee, Texas and Ole Miss. Georgia even had to play three of these teams on the road as well as facing the Longhorns for a second time in the SEC Championship game.

Beyond that, the Bulldogs also dealt with a lot of injuires throughout the season as well, most notably at running back and on the offensive line. But the biggest injury of all came to Carson Beck on the final play of the first half in the SEC Championship game. Then entered Gunner Stockton, who came in and helped lead Georgia to their come from behind victory over Texas.

So while everyone deserves to celebrate a conference championship no matter how they got there, this past season felt a little more special just because of everything the team had to go through to get there.
