After beating Tennessee this weekend 31-17, Georgia football only has two regular season games remaining. Those games may not be as big as others on paper, but they are just as important because UGA needs to win out to secure their spot in the College Football Playoff.

Up next for Georgia is a non-conference date with UMass this Saturday at Sanford Stadium. After that, UGA will have their annual meeting with in-state rival Georgia Tech.

This years game against the Yellow Jackets is a little different than normal, so pay close attention to the date and time of the game as it is on a Friday this season.

Georgia vs. Georgia Tech game time, TV announced

Georgia football will take on Georgia Tech next Friday, Nov. 29 at 7:30 pm EST. This game will be aired on ABC.

So far this season, Kirby Smart and Georgia have played four games at home. The Bulldogs are undefeated in those four games and have extended their home win streak to 29 games. Georgia also plays UMass at home this coming weekend, and assuming UGA wins that game, this date with Georgia Tech would mark 31 straight wins at home for the Bulldogs if they come out on top.

The road has not been friendly to Georgia Tech this season as they are just 1-3 in their four road games. Their one win came against North Carolina 41-34 while their three losses were against Virginia Tech, Syracuse and Louisville.

Hopefully playing on a Friday won’t impact Georgia, because as mentioned this is a must win game. The Bulldogs will likely be big favorites against Georgia Tech, but the Yellow Jackets are more than capable of pulling this upset off. Just two weeks ago, Georgia Tech handed Miami (FL) their one and only loss of the season. That game was at home for Tech, but it does show what they’re capable of.

Georgia still has to get through UMass, but anytime Georgia plays Georgia Tech it’s a game everyone looks forward to. Let’s just hope Georgia continues their win streak against the Yellow Jackets so they can lock their place in the CFP.
