After nearly a month off, Georgia football’s Sugar Bowl showdown against Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff is finally here.
Two of the greatest teams in college football history are ready to do battle to earn the right to take on Penn State in the CFP semifinal. But before the game begins, here is all the information you need to know to watch and enjoy this game later today.
When?
Georgia will take on Notre Dame on Thursday, Jan. 2 at 4:00 pm EST.
Where?
The game will take place at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, LA in the Caesars Superdome.
How to Watch
ESPN will air the game and will have one of their elite crews calling the game. Greg McElroy and Sean McDonough will call the game on TV while Molly McGrath will be roaming the sideline. The game will also be available to stream on the Watch ESPN as well.
Series Update
Georgia is undefeated in the all time series against Notre Dame 3-0, which includes two recent wins during the Kirby Smart era in 2017 at Notre Dame and 2019 in Athens. UGA also beat the Irish in the 1981 Sugar Bowl which clinched Georgia’s second National Championship in program history.
Final Odds
As of 7:00 am EST on Jan. 2, Georgia is a 1.5 point favorite against Notre Dame. The over-under is also set at 45.5 points for the Sugar Bowl as well. ESPN on the other hand is not liking Georgia’s chances as they currently give the Irish a 54.8 percent chance at winning this game.
