Georgia great David Pollack stated the obvious about Alabama's CFP issue vs. Indiana

The Bulldogs made Alabama look soft and now Indiana might follow suit.

You always know that David Pollack is going to tell it like it is and if that means that the former three-time All-American linebacker has to ruffle some feathers in Tuscaloosa, so be it.

In looking at the CFP quarterfinal Rose Bowl matchup between Indiana and Alabama, Pollack had some observations that might make the Crimson Tide fans a little upset, but find me the lie.

"Ty Simpson...he's pretty good against zone. He's pretty good on those in-breaking routes. Can [Alabama's offensive line] give him some time? Can't they protect and not let those free rushers come? It's just to think about that we're picking this game, and I'm thinking, 'Clearly, the better, more-rounded, well-rounded, physical team is Indiana. That's a weird world, man, weird world."

Yep, that's right. Alabama is going into its game on Thursday as the team with question marks about physicality and the Crimson Tide can thank the Georgia Bulldogs for bringing those issues to light.

Georgia showed that the Tide can be pushed around

Alabama has had moments all season where it just looked a little soft and no moment was bigger than the SEC Championship when Georgia shut them down in dominating fashion. The Bulldogs held the Crimson Tide to minus-3 yards rushing, and the defensive front harassed Ty Simpson all day.

It was the most thorough beating of Alabama in recent memory, but it wasn't the first time this season that the Crimson Tide looked like the second most physical team on the field. They got pushed around in the opener against FSU and in the first game against Oklahoma, both losses. Even in the win against the Sooners, Alabama only rushed for 33 yards.

Pollack doesn't lie and if Indiana can shut down the Alabama run game and keep Ty Simpson from getting comfortable in the pocket, the Hoosiers will have Georgia to thank for showing them the blueprint.
