Georgia has made it through their final bye week of the season. Now they face the most important stretch of the season as they have five more games remaining and everything still to play for.
Up next for Georgia is their annual matchup with Florida in Jacksonville. The Gators are 3-4 and just fired head coach Billy Napier last week, so it's safe to say that this is a game Georgia should win. But just because they should win does not mean it will be easy, so UGA will need to give Florida their full attention if they are going to win and move to 7-1.
If Georgia does beat Florida though, there is a nice gift waiting for them the following week.
Georgia has a nice present waiting for them next week
Florida will always be a tough matchup no matter how good or bad the Gators are, so it's always nice to have an easy week immediately after the Florida game. That is the gift that is waiting for Georgia if they beat Florida as the Bulldogs will face a 4-4 Mississippi State team the following week.
This game will be even easier for Georgia to win, so much so that it will feel like another bye week. So if the Bulldogs can get past Florida they will be able to celebrate what should be the easiest SEC game they will have this season.
Georgia will face Mississippi State on the road this season, so that is something they will have to be mindful of. But Mississippi State has not won an SEC game all season and there is no way that they will get their first win against Georgia.
UGA will need to enjoy that easy week against Mississippi State because their schedule gets very difficult after that. Waiting for Georgia the following week is Texas who are looking for revenge after losing to UGA twice last season. Then there is Georgia Tech who is undefeated and have a great chance to be 11-0 when these two teams meet in Atlanta.
Georgia and Kirby Smart need to remain focused on Florida this week, but it's hard to not look ahead and be excited about what lies ahead the following week.
