The Transfer Portal has changed college football forever. Every program in the country has countless players decide to leave their program every offseason, and Georgia is not immune to this turnover.
One of the interesting storylines that now exists every season thanks to the Transfer Portal is Georgia getting an opportunity to play a few former Bulldogs throughout the year. And this year UGA will have the chance to play four former Bulldogs throughout the season.
Georgia scheduled to play 4 former Bulldogs this season
Georgia's four matchups that feature a former Bulldog on the opposition all occur during the month of November. The first former Bulldog opponent is wide receiver Anthony Evans who now plays for Mississippi State. UGA travels to Mississippi State on Nov. 8 for a matchup that Georgia will be massive favorites in.
Two weeks later Georgia will play host to Charlotte who has former Bulldog defensive back Collin Gill. Last but not least, Georgia will play two former Bulldogs who made the move to rival Georgia Tech in their final regular season game of the season. Linebacker EJ Lightsey and tight end Brett Seither are the two players who decided to join Georgia's in-state rival who will get to go up against their former teammates.
These four players did not leave Georgia on bad terms, so there won't be any negative feelings towards these players when Georgia lines up against them this year. But UGA will have that extra motiviation going into these games as they try to show all four players what they are missing out on because of their decision to leave Georgia.
There is a chance that Georgia will face more former players in the SEC Championship game or College Football Playoff if UGA makes it there. The dream scenario that every Georgia fan is hoping unfolds this year is a CFP matchup against Carson Beck and Miami (FL). If that were to somehow happen then UGA will finally have a former Bulldog who did leave on bad terms that they would absolutely love to punish all game long.
