Georgia football currently holds one of the most impressive streaks in the country. The Bulldogs have won 33 straight games at home, which is a record that dates all the way back to 2019.

The second longest active home win streak is held by Washington who has knocked off 22 straight opponents, but that streak is likely to end as No.1 Ohio State travels to Washington to take on the Huskies this weekend.

Unfortunately Georgia's home win streak has a chance to end this weekend as well when the mighty Alabama Crimson Tide comes to Athens to take on the Bulldogs between the hedges.

Alabama could end Georgia's home win streak

No Georgia fan needs to be reminded about how dominant Alabama has been against UGA. In fact, the Crimson Tide have won nine of the last 10 meetings against Georgia with the lone UGA victory coming in the National Championship game. So recent history shows that Alabama has a great chance to win this game.

Georgia however is the favorite to win this game as FanDuel Sportsbook currently lists the Bulldogs as 3.5 point favorites. This spread however used to be much larger as it originally sat at 6.5 points a few weeks and was most recently at 4.5 points a few days ago. So the betting public as well as Vegas is becoming more and more confident in an Alabama victory.

Alabama has also beat Georgia the last two times these teams have played in Athens as well, so that questions just how much home field advantage will actually matter on Saturday.

In a few days Georgia fans will learn if they can finally beat Alabama again or if their home win streak will come to an end. Regardless, the most important thing about winning this game as that it would put UGA in the drivers seat both in the race to make it to the SEC Championship game and qualify for the College Football Playoff.
