The 2025 recruiting cycle is nearing its end as signing day is only about two months from now. That means one of the biggest things to watch out for in the recruiting world is prospects flipping their commitment.

This is something we see every year around this time and us fans always hope that Georgia isn't on the wrong end of a recruit flipping their commitment. Thankfully however what I've seen the most is recruits showing interest in changing their minds, leaving their current schools, and committing to Georgia.

Four-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn is one candidate we've already mentioned. Now it’s time we add another name to that list and this recruit will likely excite you because he is a current Aubrun commit.

Four-star defensive back Eric Winters has been committed to Auburn since mid-June. But that hasn't stopped Kirby Smart and his staff from continuing to pursue the talented DB.

Winters himself has said that he's still feeling the love from Georgia and that “nothing’s really changed” with Georgia’s pursuit since he committed to Auburn. Hopefully Smart’s efforts will be rewarded because Winter is a prospect any program would be lucky to have.

Acccording to 247Sports, Winters is the No. 54 player in the country. He also is the No. 5 safety as well as the No. 5 player from his home state of Alabama.

Georgia was one of the few schools he officially visited this past summer, so it’s clear he has always had a lot of interest in the Bulldogs. So the hope at this point in time is that Smart will be able to convince him to come to Athens to attend a game this fall. Without that it’s unlikely Winters flips to Georgia, but if Smart can make that happen then there's a real shot Winters will end up in Georgia’s 2025 recruiting class.

Georgia currently has four defensive back commits in their class, but Winters would be the highest-ranked commit of them all. So let’s hope Smart and his staff are able to bring him in for a visit and try to complete this flip.
