The Transfer Portal has taken over college football. No fan who follows the sport needs to be told how important the portal is to a program's success nowadays, but some teams use the portal more than others.
Georgia is one of the few elite programs who doesn't use the Transfer Portal all that much. But then there are programs like Ole Miss who solely rely on the portal to field a respectable team every season.
And it's that fact that has Ole Miss quarterback commit Keegan Croucher second guessing his commitment to the Rebels.
"I like how they (Georgia) don't rely on the Transfer Portal for quarterbacks. They develop guys. There's stability there too."

Ole Miss QB commit is concerned how much they use the Transfer Portal
Croucher is one of the top quarterbacks in the 2027 recruiting class. According to the 247Sports composite rankings he is the No. 218 overall player in the country and the No. 16 quarterback in his class.
Croucher committed to Ole Miss back in October, but that hasn't stopped teams from pursuing him. And one of those teams making a big push is Georgia. There obviously is a lot to love about Georgia who has been one of the top programs in the country for the last decade, but how they handle the Transfer Portal really stands out to Croucher.
Georgia does not use the portal to add quarterbacks. The Bulldogs recruit their quarterbacks out of high school and develop, guide and prepare them to become starters in the future. They do not rely on the portal to plug and play someone new every season like Ole Miss does. So Croucher knows that if he chose Georgia they would never recruit a player overe him out of the portal, but that fear would always exist at Ole Miss.
It will be interesting to see how this recruitment plays out, but Georgia's willingness to trust the players they recruit out of high school is really working in their favor.
